With the arrival of spring comes Easter, celebrated this year on April 20. If you are looking to get a head start on preparing, here are some places in Cleveland that are giving back to the community, hosting the Easter bunny and offering a sp-egg-tacular time for the holiday. Easter basket sign up (for children of loved ones dealing with addiction)
If you or someone you know has a child age under 17 who has been directly affected by a loved one dealing with an addiction, sign up for a free Easter basket with Project Noelle. Registration will remain open from now until March 17. The child must be living with you in order to apply. To sign up, click here.
Bunny Hop
Slavic Village and Community Yahoo will be hosting the 5th annual Bunny Hop on Saturday, April 12, from noon to 3 p.m. This event will feature games, vendors, candy and more. The Hop will take place on Fleet Avenue from East 50th Street to East 63rd Street.
Tower City Eggstravaganza
Tower City will be hosting the Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 19, from noon to 4 p.m. There will be a bunny trail, games, candy and more. Registration will open on March 21. To reserve your spot, click here.
Spring Egg Hunt
The Cleveland Botanical Garden will be hosting a Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to noon. Eggs will be continually hidden throughout the morning, so there is no official start time. There will be games, bunny photos, crafts and more. Children under 2 and members are free, non-member adults are $20, and non-member children (ages 2-17) are $25. To purchase tickets, click here.
Easter Egg Hunt (Grades K-6)
Bedford Church of the Nazarene will be hosting an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Please bring your own bag for the egg hunt. For more information, call 216-232-7440 or click here.
Easter Spectacular Roller Skating Event
Zelma George will be hosting an Easter Skate party on Sunday, April 20, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and includes skate rental, a slice of pizza and a drink. The Easter bunny will be there along with games and prizes. For more information, click here.
