The 45th annual Tri-C JazzFest kicks off Thursday and, along with it, expect road closures around Playhouse Square.

From Thursday, June 20, to Sunday, June 23, at 8 a.m.:

– Euclid Avenue will be closed between East 17th Street and Huron Road.

– East 14th will be closed between Euclid Avenue and Prospect Avenue.

But wait, there’s more.

Downtown Cleveland is a shooting location for the movie “Genesis,” the film production believed to be the new Superman movie.  You won’t be able to drive past The Daily Planet (also known as the Leader Building) on Superior Avenue while the film crews are at work. Crews will be all over downtown Metropolis, (uh, make that Cleveland)  the next few days. Here’s a breakdown of street closures:

From Thursday, June 20, to Sunday, June 23

-Superior Avenue will be closed to all traffic between Public Square and East 6th Street. In/out access to and from the 200 Public Square Garage will be accommodated from East Roadway daily.

-East 3rd Street from Superior to Rockwell Avenue.

Tuesday, June 25

-Lakeside Avenue will be closed between East Mall Drive and East 9th Street. This area includes City Hall.
-City Hall’s surface parking lot and Lakeside access to Willard Garage will be closed. The only access to Willard Garage will be from East 9th Street.

Additional road closures will be announced as needed.

RTA will reroute its Healthline service. Read about the route changes here.
