July 4th fireworks

Here’s a list of scheduled fireworks displays, celebrations and events throughout Greater Cleveland scheduled over the July 4th holiday week.

JUNE 28

What: A fireworks display will serve as the finale for the Mayfield Village Independence Day Celebration. Parking is available in the pool lot or the Progressive parking lots. 
When: Saturday, June 28, 10 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, June 29, for fireworks and band performances.
Where: Parkview Pool, 425 North Commons Blvd. 

JULY 3 

What: Red, White & Boom Fireworks Display at the Lake Erie Crushers Stadium. A special July 3 fireworks display will be held in addition to the regular displays scheduled at the conclusion of all Friday and Saturday night games during the summer.  
When: Thursday, July 3.
Where: 2009 Baseball Blvd. in Avon.


What: The Independence Day Fireworks Celebration at Weiss Field in Avon Lake.  Food trucks, dessert trucks and a performance by the band Country Redford. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, food and non-alcoholic drinks. Dogs are welcome but must be on leashes. No smoking is permitted in the park. 
When: Thursday, July 3, 5 to 10:30 pm. 
Where: 33401 Webber Road.


What: A Salute to America at Blossom Music Center. Enjoy a selection of patriotic staples, Broadway favorites and an Armed Forces salute performed by the Blossom Festival Band and conducted by Michelle Rakers. Fireworks to follow the performance. 
When: Thursday, July 3, 8 to 11 p.m.
Where: 1145 W. Steels Corners Road, Cuyahoga Falls.


What: The Sixth Annual Freedom Festival at Victory Park Ohio. An afternoon of food and family fun — including live music, a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables and a live animal show with Jungle Bob — will culminate with a 30-minute fireworks display at approximately 10 p.m. Tickets start at $26.65. 
When: Thursday, July 3, 4-11 p.m.  
Where: 7777 Victory Lane, North Ridgeville.


July 4

What: A Salute to America at Blossom Music Center. Enjoy a selection of patriotic staples, Broadway favorites and an Armed Forces salute performed by the Blossom Festival Band and conducted by Michelle Rakers. Fireworks to follow the performance. 
When: Friday, July 4, 8 to 11 pm. 
Where: 1145 W. Steels Corners Road, Cuyahoga Falls.


What: The City of Aurora will present a fireworks display as the finale for its annual July 4th Festival. The fireworks will be shot off behind the ball fields on West Pioneer Trail. The best viewing area will be Kiwanis-Moore Park. Fireworks will take place rain or shine. 
When: Friday, July 4, at approximately 9:30 p.m. Severe weather date, Saturday, July 5. 
Where: 35 West Pioneer Trail, Aurora.


What: Grindstone Festival. Berea’s annual 4th of July festival offers a day of family fun, food vendors and performances by Cats On Holiday and the Clayton Brothers Band. The event ends with a fireworks display at approximately 9:30 p.m.  
When: Friday, July 4.  
Where: Coe Lake Park, 85 S. Rocky River Dr., Berea.


What: Rooftop Fireworks Party at Punch Bowl Social. Access to viewing an assortment of fireworks displays visible along the Lake Erie shore will be preceded by a set from DJ NicNacc, who will perform until midnight. $12.51 to $44.52 (including fees). Register via Eventbrite at the link above.
When: Friday, July 4, 7 p.m.  
Where: 1086 W. 11th St., Cleveland. 


What: Rooftop Veranda Fireworks Party at Lago. The annual 4th of July bash returns.  Blankets and lawn chairs welcome. A cash bar and menu items will be available for purchase. All ages welcome; 21+ entry only after 9 p.m. $12.51-$44.52 (including fees). Register via Eventbrite at link above.
When: Friday, July 4, 6 to 11 pm.
Where: 1091 W. 10th St., Cleveland. 


What: Light up the Lake at Voinovich Park & North Coast Yard. This year, Light Up the Lake is offering twice the fun for the 4th. Prior to the big event, enjoy an evening of family-friendly fun, arts and crafts, food trucks and more at Voinovich Park, while the North Coast Yard will be host to a DJ, performances by members of the Crooked River Circus, a portable roller skating rink and a variety of tasty treats. Events at both venues kick off at 5 p.m.  
When: July 4 at 5 p.m., with fireworks at approximately 9:45 p.m. Fireworks will be visible from several venues along the Lake Erie shoreline, including Edgewater Park, Kirtland Park, Settlers Landing, the Superior Viaduct, Wendy Park and Whiskey Island. Fireworks rain date: Saturday, July 5. 
Where: 800 E. 9th St. Pier; and 515 Erieside Ave., Cleveland.


What: Goodtime III Dinner Cruise. A Cleveland institution, the Goodtime III presents a special holiday cruise with a themed menu. The cruise will proceed as scheduled, despite rain or cancellation of the fireworks display due to rain. Available tickets are $80 and $90. 
When: Friday, July 4, 6 to 11 p.m. 
Where: 825 E. 9th St. Pier.


What: Sugardale Dollar Dog Night at Progressive Field. The first 10,000 fans will receive a free T-shirt. Fireworks display to follow the Guardians/Tigers game.  
When: Friday, July 4.
Where: 2401 Ontario St.



What: Fireworks display at Lakewood Park. The annual fireworks display will follow a 7 p.m. bandstand concert by the Lakewood Project, consisting of Lakewood High School students.  
When: Friday, July 4 at approximately 9:45 p.m. Rain date is Saturday, July 5. 
Where: 14600 Lake Ave., Lakewood.


What: The Independence Day Concert & Fireworks event at Mentor Civic Center. A 25-minute fireworks display will follow a free 7 p.m. concert by the Journey tribute band Escape. 
When: Friday, July 4
Where: 8600 Munson Rd., Mentor.


What: Fireworks will follow a day of family-friendly activities at the Westlake Fourth of July Celebration
When: Friday, July 4, at dusk (approximately 9:30 p.m.).  
Where: Clague Park, at the corner of Hilliard Boulevard and Clague Road, Westlake.

JULY 5

What: Larry Doby Day at Progressive Field. Fireworks display to follow Guardians/Tigers game. The first 20,000 fans will receive a Larry Doby bobblehead.  
When: Saturday, July 5. 
Where: 2401 Ontario St., Cleveland. 


What: Bay Days Festival at Cahoon Memorial Park. The Annual Bay Days Festival, which runs from July 2 to 5, will end with a fireworks extravaganza. There may be fees for parking. Walking and carpooling are encouraged.  
When: Saturday, July 5, approximately 9:45 p.m. 
Where: 27134 Lake Road, Bay Village.
