In the local Signal Cleveland newsroom this week, it’s been difficult not to get distracted by the national election news taking over the air waves. In Ohio and beyond, eyes are on Greater Cincinnati native JD Vance, who was announced as Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s running mate for the upcoming election.

Vance was elected to his first term in the U.S. Senate in November 2022, beating out Democrat Tim Ryan. Vance wouldn’t be up for reelection until 2028. This has many Ohioans wondering what will happen to his seat if he does become the Vice President of the United States.

Do you know how his replacement would be chosen if he and Trump win the 2024 election? Take a guess below and press the submit button to find out the answer.

Also in this week’s quiz, take a few moments to learn about what the Ohio Lottery funds, property value increases in Cuyahoga County and the founder of Cleveland.

Congrats to quiz takers Joanna C., Richard J. and Isaiah N. for scoring 100% on last week’s challenging quiz about legal marijuana in Ohio, Cleveland landmarks, the cost of public college and a local park.

Good luck this week!
