Smoking cigarettes is the leading cause of preventable death in the United States, taking nearly half a million lives each year and accounting for one in five deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Cleveland Health Department recently announced it plans to roll out a new community program to help residents quit smoking. Signal Cleveland compiled a list of existing resources for individuals.
