The cost of parking in downtown Cleveland is a classic grievance for Greater Cleveland residents. It has been top of mind after news of legislation to allow higher parking lot rates last year and the city’s recent decision to eliminate free street parking in much of Ohio City.
Earlier this month, when Nikki Minaj, Billy Joel and the Cleveland Guardians were simultaneously active in downtown Cleveland, pictures were shared online of event parking costing up to $80 near the venues.
After that, Redditers in the Cleveland subreddit brought up an interesting comparison: the cost to park a private jet at Burke Lakefront Airport.
