Fall is less than 20 days away, Cleveland. It feels like just yesterday we broke out the bathing suits and grills. Let’s utilize this last part of summer to get out the house with these free and low-cost events in and around Cleveland this week.

Glenville MasLow Food Fest
Bring the family out to the Glenville MasLow Food Fest on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This festival is designed to connect local farmers with the community, along with offering free health screenings, vendors, food, bounce houses, fresh produce, live music and more. A host of fraternities and sororities will be co-hosting the event.
One of the event co-organizers, Chad Anderson, shared the meaning behind the festival.
“If you research the Maslow hierarchy of needs, it’s a philosophy that says that every human being needs food, water, clothing, shelter and safety to be a successful human. They need to feel part of a community,” Anderson said. “So, we try to create everything and make it culturally relevant and cool.”
The Food Fest will take place at Gateway Farmers Market, 1322 E. 105 St., and is free for all. For more information, click here.
