As Clevelanders wait for power to be restored after what the power company says was the most powerful storm in the area since 1993, FirstEnergy said free water and ice is available at 14 area stores, including seven in Cuyahoga County.

The company said in an email Thursday evening that thousands of line workers and contractors were working 16-hour shifts to restore service. The goal was have the power back on for the majority of customers by Aug. 14.

Note: The Westlake Market District location currently can’t distribute ice or water because registers are not working.
