Winter weather continues to impact Greater Cleveland with off-and-on snow showers and high winds in the forecast today. Gusty winds and cold temperatures are expected to continue the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service. The City of Cleveland is responding by extending hours for its warming centers.
The Division of Recreation will keep warming centers open from Monday, Jan. 6, through Thursday, Jan. 9. Centers will open at 11:30 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.

Those with overnight shelter needs are asked to call United Way 211 for assistance.
Road snow plowing
If you haven’t before, this is a chance to check out the snow plow tracker that the City of Cleveland launched in 2022. The city is responsible for clearing main, secondary and residential streets. Home and business owners are responsible for clearing snow, sleet and ice from sidewalks. The Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio Turnpike Commission handle the interstates.
