The city raised pay last year in response to difficulty attracting police officers.
Those who are hired will become members of the 160th class of the police academy, who are expected to enter in August and graduate in March 2026.
“Our Division is committed to recruiting the best candidates to serve our community,” wrote Chief Dorothy A. Todd in a news release. “This hiring event offers a convenient opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in law enforcement.”
