More than 70,000 registered voters in Cleveland could have new polling locations for this week’s election. The changes are because the city is moving from 17 to 15 wards.
Check your polling location before you head to the polls
On the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections site, you can type in your name and birth date and find your polling location. You can also get the location by calling 216-443-8683.
The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections also made an additional change for Cleveland voters in Ward 3 who vote in precinct M. The polling location is now Murtis Taylor Human Services Center located at 13411 Union Ave. The normal location, Quinn Chapel Church, is closed for maintenance. (See a list of suburban polling location changes below.)
What’s on the ballot?
The May ballot is pretty slim, with Issue 2 and a smattering of local municipal issues in the suburbs. If Issue 2 passes, the state would be allowed to sell up to $2.5 billion in bonds, spread out over the next 10 years to pay for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water and sewer management systems.
Casting a ballot
On May 6, polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
For people voting by mail, absentee ballots must be postmarked by May 5 or returned to the board in person by May 6 at 7:30 p.m.
