Water valves, meters and corrosion prevention
Director of Public Utilities Martin Keane sought and received approval for four Division of Water contracts, which total just more than $20 million.
The Cleveland Board of Control approved a contract with CorrTech Inc. for a little over $300,000 to prevent corrosion. The board approved another contract with Terrace Construction Co. for a large valve renewal program for $5.1 million. Two additional contracts were approved – $1.5 million and $13 million – for small and large water meters.
Five land parcels purchased
The board also approved the sales of five land parcels through the Land Reutilization Program. Two of the purchases – one near the Stockyards by CHN Housing Partners for $400 and another in Tremont by Keystone Homes Tremont LLC for $22,650 – are for single-family homes.
Two residents, Robert Jackson and Dakarai Jackson, purchased land parcels for $200 each for side yard extensions. The final purchase went to Your Half LLC for $23,750 to build a small park in Ward 15.
