Happy Wednesday, Cleveland. These April showers will hopefully bring May flowers. If you are like me and allergic to many of nature’s gifts, check out this article by our new health reporter, Celia Hack, on tips and techniques to help alleviate sneezing, itchy eyes and other common allergy symptoms. Community events are moving forward, just like the Cavs. Let’s see what we can enjoy this weekend.

ArtWorks Live!

ArtWorks Live!: The Center for Arts-Inspired Learning will be hosting “ArtWorks Live!” on Friday, May 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. The evening will feature the works of ArtWorks apprentices along with live performances, a youth-curated art gallery and the ArtWorks marketplace.

Myia Hobson, marketing and communications director at the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, invites the community to come out and see all the hard work that the young people have put into ArtWorks Live!, now in its second year.

“Join us for an evening celebrating youth creativity, dedication and passion,” Hobson said.

Participants will also have access to all Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) exhibits. ArtWorks Live! will be held at MOCA, at 11400 Euclid Ave. Registration is not required. For more information, click here.

Community Reporter (he/him)
I work to gain the trust of Cleveland residents through direct community engagement and storytelling. My goal is to amplify and celebrate the residents and stakeholders who contribute to the success of city neighborhoods. I’m hoping to erase the negative stigma that has been cast on some neighborhoods throughout the years.
